The Rosy Barb (Pethia conchonius) is a hardy and colorful freshwater fish well known for its bright rosy-red coloration and active swimming behavior. Males often develop a more intense pink or red color, especially during breeding season, making them a vibrant addition to community aquariums.
Because of their durability and adaptability, Rosy Barbs are considered one of the best beginner fish for freshwater aquariums. Their lively schooling behavior and attractive colors make them a popular choice for both beginner and experienced aquarists.
• Bright rosy pink to red coloration, especially in males
• Very hardy and adaptable fish
• Active schooling fish that adds movement to the aquarium

Avoid slow-moving fish with very long fins.
Rosy Barbs thrive in well-established aquariums with plenty of swimming space and plants for cover.

• Driftwood or rocks for natural structure
