Tetra Fish

Tetras are one of the most popular freshwater aquarium fish due to their vibrant colors, peaceful temperament, and active schooling behavior. Native to South American river systems, most tetra species thrive in stable aquariums with soft to moderately hard water and gentle filtration.

These fish are naturally social and should be kept in groups of 5 or more to encourage natural schooling behavior and reduce stress. Tetras make excellent additions to peaceful community aquariums and coexist well with other small, non-aggressive fish.

For best health and coloration, provide a well-established aquarium with live plants, driftwood, and subdued lighting. A varied diet of high-quality flakes, pellets, frozen foods, or live foods will help maintain strong coloration and active behavior.
